Mara Youth Day 2020 was celebrated amidst strict adherence to the Covid 19 pandemic directives from the Ministry of Health. The event on its second anniversary was hosted at Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association (MMWCA) Mara HQ in Aitong. Performances by the Maa Flava Entertainment creative led by Kimintah and DJ Queen rocked the day. The theme of this year’s event is Building resilience and Opportunities amid a pandemic and it was a great opportunity for youth members of the conservancies to interact and get to engage their leaders directly. This is an important platform for meaningful Youth engagement. Our creative also had an opportunity to interact with the youth, who expressed desire to know more about alternative life skills and the opportunities they can pursue. This opened doorway for us to engage with the leaders including MMWCA CEO Daniel Sopia who assured us his organisation is ready to support arts and media.
