Power To Youth: CSOs engagement

People

As an organization, we pride ourselves in partnering with other organizations, especially Civil Society Organizations CSOs. Through this we are able to achieve our objective Partnership for Common Goals as envisioned in SDG 17, Partnership For Goals. In November 2021, Maafleva Network was privileged to take part in a CSOs workshop organized by Network for Adolescents and Youth of Africa and Amref Kenya, through the Power To Youth project. The program is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and aims to centre youth and harness the power of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in achieving change to harmful practices (HPs), sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and poor sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes, including unintended pregnancy.

During the workshop, we were able to engage and raise matters that we felt as a creative society, we can help other organizations to disseminate factual information in media spaces and also had an opportunity to learn more on CSO system strengthening.
